I have a JOB!!!

I am now an official member of a certain highstreet travel agents that shall from henceforth be called computer agent because of its love of complicated computer systems to book holidays. That probably tells you that I am not finding the computer side of it easy, but the people I am working with are lovely and it feels great to be earning money especially as people are so happy when they book their holidays. Thankfully they also have some more senior computer agents who have confidential intelligence about the way these systems work and are willing to divulge a few secret tips to lesser agents like me, YAY

Housing

I am doing a week’s work experience in a housing department of a deprived local authority in London. Making sure that everybody has a well maintained house to live in seems to involve a suprising amount of paperwork and visits to make sure that everything is progressing as it should. However, it is also very heart warming because you are actually doing something that makes a difference. You are making sure they have a shelter. Kinda makes me wish it was going on for more than a week.

I was tagged

I’ve been tagged twice now and have decided to reply!

Ten years ago – I was in year nine at school, the year everybody changes friends. I got on better with the teaches than the students at school and it was not the best time of my life!

Five years ago – I was temping in Westminster City Council. I was very happy to be earning money and have a stable routine. I was also looking forward to spending 6 months in Mexico which was one of the best experiences of my life.

One year ago – I was adjusting to being back in Swansea after a year in Peru. There was a slight feeling of deja vu about it and I did not like being a pupil again after having been a pupil but the fact that I was surrounded by friends meant that I soon adjusted back and enjoyed myself.

Five yummy things – chocolate, suassages, pisco sours (a delicious lime cocktail) tea and crumpets

Five songs I know by heart – I am now going to show my sad taste in music, but the songs I know best are well cheesy: When I’m 64 by the beatles, Dancing Queen by ABBA, Girls just wanna have fun by Cindy Laupher, Material Girl by Maddona and Food Glorious Food by Lionel Bart (I think!)

Five things I’ld do with a lot of money – buy a flat to live in, give money to a charity for refugees, give money to an organisation that prommottes fair working practices in the third world, give money to the church and go to Argentina for six months.

Five places I would escape to – SWANSEA every time, Galicia in North Spain, Peru, Argentina and Pembrokshire.

Five things I would never wear – a leather bodice, shellsuit, string vest, jumpre with bobbles on, a straw hat with corks

Five Favorite TV shows – the BBC Pride and Prejudice, Sex and the City (It is so good I can watch it again and again and again!), Strictly Ballroom, Richard and Judy and Property Ladder

Five things I enjoy doing – Talking, walking, reading, drinking tea and going to church

Favorite toys: my soft toy santa, bucket and spade, kites and a pack of cards

I won’t tag this on to people because everyone I know has been tagged already!
